Any one of the pots in
the above mentioned categories could be duplicated and re-created in
fibreglass. Making them more durable and much lighter than the
conventional cement pots. This is especially valuable in the use of
Décor and creating of water features. It lends itself to the adding
of handles for a more stylised antique feel, imitating the Greek and
Roman amphora with a modern twist.
Deo-Ken
All pots in stock are in an
unpainted or “raw” state and only gets painted once the client has decided
on what colour best suit their needs and desires.
The colours available are as follows:
-
Rust
A rust finish derived by applying an Activator over a water based paint layer with iron content. Resulting in authentic red/brown rust with a powdery residue. As if the rust process occurred naturally on metal over a period of time. Giving the treated object a solid, rusted, metal weathered look. -
Chaka Wash & Dark Chaka Wash
A rich brown watery, streaky weathered look generating the impression of exposed sandstone or wall surfaces’ that have been stained by running or leaking water over a period of time. -
Chaka
Same as above - with definite bands alternating between brown and pale grey/brown running down the sides of the pot. Very much like a silk worm of the Zebra variety. -
Clay
A solid rich reddish brown finish. Leaving the surface with a mottled, leathery appearance like that of a fired terracotta vessel. -
Rock
Layering of colours varying between yellow, beige and shades of brown to black. Each layer is translucent allowing the preceding shade to show. Creating a golden flint stone feel. -
Slate
Another application utilizing layering for the desired effect. Generated by using hues of grey and black creating an end result similar to that of slat stone. -
Dry Brush
Application of white onto the “raw” cement surface highlighting the natural surface texture of the object mimicking the qualities of unpolished granite.
For the DIY enthusiast, D K Rock Pots manufacture and distribute the Rust Paint and Cement Stains to create the aforementioned techniques. Full details on pricing and step-by-step instructions for application is available and we will gladly assist with any query or need that you may have.
